Description

To create a culture of bhakti in our home is a challenge! This book gives insights and guidelines related to very practical aspects of life – how to adjust and transform our family life so it is an ashram, a suitable place to facilitate our spiritual growth and development.

In the Srimad Bhagavatam (4.26.16), Srila Prabhupada states:

“There is no difference between a good wife and good intelligence. One who possesses good intelligence can deliberate properly and save himself from many dangerous conditions. […] If one gets a chaste wife, accepted through a religious marriage ritual, she can be of great help when one is threatened by the many dangerous situations of life. Actually such a wife can become the source of all good intelligence. With such a good wife, the family’s engagement in the devotional service of the Lord actually makes a home a grihastha-ashrama, or household dedicated to spiritual cultivation.”

We will also discover valuable insights on the desired mood and attitude of husband and wife, and on affection and physical intimacy within marriage – how to apply the principle of no illicit sexlife in our marriage. A topic which is rarely discussed and often misunderstood.

This book sets the very foundation to raising children within Krishna consciousness. If we create a culture of bhakti in our home, our children will naturally accept Krishna consciousness.

I hope and pray that this book will be a humble contribution to make our grihastha ashram stronger, more stable and more harmonious.
