Description

Shri Ganesha Mahapuranam Sanskrit Roman – English  ( 3 Vols Set)  Our present offering is a comprehensive account of many realms of Lord Ganesh who is first worshipped in all worships and spiritual holdings, auspicious starts of all undertakings and enterprises. How this came about is well given in many legends and related literature. A name for Ganesh is Ganpati, which means Lord of ganash or sacred groups of gods.He has all auspicious traits and qualities of right and the successful leader and most of those auspicious qualities are represented as symbols of his form like large, winnower like ears as the right and intent listener, as well as a winnower like attitude of flinging off the chaff from the real grain of the issue. Leader hears all things but lets in only what is relevant and good. Likewise all his different parts of the form represent different aspects of working of a prudent and righteous one. But it would be seen as you see this scripture that profound as he is, he is equally approachable to all who choose to come to him for whatever purpose, gives them sound council and a scheme to ensure that the fellow gets what he desires and what would serve him right. His sixth sense never fails. So in old tradition, when some ticklish issue would be at hand, people would take help of a trained elephant’s choice and whatever he selected, would go with it. He represents wisdom and prudence which helps us gaining prosperity and an all-round success. His stomach is large with a big capacity. It means that a leader should not let out what is not to be revealed. Only what is to be contextually told, should come out from his mouth. The inappropriate should just lie in his stock of things (the big stomach). Elephant appears to walk at lesser speed but the distance he covers is big. Likewise should it be with a leader. He should not appear to be in a hurry, making a great success with his deeds and ideas, however. Ganesha has two tusks, for all to see. A leader should have two visible qualities in him: a profound intellect and never failing shraddha. The intellect could appear to be “”half””, but shaddha should be full (integral, not broken). Ganesh’s one and a half tusks signify this principle. Let the intelligence be lesser but following of right principles should never be incomplete. A leader should be fully respectable to his elders as Ganesh was to his. For that only, he got the right to be first venerated, for all observances and undertakings. Though gaining priority over the elder brother, Ganesha gave ample regard and respect to Kartik at all times. His sense of family values is high, thereby. We may rise however much, in social and influential circles, but adequate importance and esteem has to be the accorded to our family members, more so to the elder ones. Wherever Ganesh goes, his vehicie is a mouse and no one sees his vehicle. Leaders have to learn that their transport (other used amenities too) have to be non-showy.
